Product Safety & LED Safety Information
Our Approach to Safety
Because our products are designed for use on the skin, safety is central to how we choose and describe every item we sell. This page provides general guidance to help you use your LED device safely and confidently.
General LED Guidance
- Always read the full instructions included with your specific product before first use
- Use your device only as intended, and avoid exceeding recommended session times or frequency
- Keep your device away from water, unless it's specifically rated for such use
- Do not use your device if it appears damaged, or if the cable or charger shows signs of wear
- Keep devices out of reach of children and pets
Who Should Take Extra Care or Avoid Use
We'd recommend speaking to a doctor before using an LED device if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have epilepsy or a history of seizures
- Have a photosensitive skin condition
- Use a pacemaker or other implanted medical device
- Are currently taking medication that increases sensitivity to light
- Have an active skin infection, open wound, or severe skin condition in the treatment area
This list is for general guidance and isn't exhaustive. If you're unsure whether an LED device is suitable for you, please consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Patch Testing
If you have sensitive skin or are using an LED device for the first time, we'd recommend a patch test on a small area of skin and monitoring for any reaction before full use.
When to Stop Using Your Device
Stop use immediately and allow your skin to settle if you experience:
- Redness, irritation, or discomfort that doesn't subside quickly
- Any allergic reaction
- Unusual heat, sound, or malfunction from the device itself
If symptoms persist, please consult a pharmacist or doctor.
Cleaning Your Device
Wipe your device gently with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth after each use. Avoid submerging the device in water or using harsh or abrasive chemical cleaners, unless your product's specific instructions state otherwise.
Storage
Store your device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and out of reach of children. Avoid storing it in areas of extreme temperature, such as a car on a hot day.
Maintenance
To help your device perform well over time:
- Charge it fully before first use, following the included instructions
- Avoid leaving it on charge unnecessarily once fully charged
- Store it in its original packaging or a protective case when not in use
